Hey all. Yes yes, Hanging again. But this time, it isn't about a map or a question, it is to unviel the official start of my mod to end all of my mods.
X.E.S (Also the title to end all titles.) (And no, NOT backwards sex!) (And, a banner is in the works.) X.E.S is my final modding project before StarCraft 2 is released. It will be a culmination of everything that I have earned, from the tutorials of BSTRhino's iscripting all the way to plugin creation. I will be using it to create my own universe inside StarCraft. A few words to say about this : 1) It is a massive project, and will probably take me very close to SC2's release. I have planned it to be like this, for I would like StarCraft not be be left in the dust of the great and wanted SC2's awakening. 2) There will be three races. (Obviously. =P) One, a very technologically advanced human race originally from Terra. These humans are sent in a colony ship to a thought habitable planet. This planet is a hellhole though, and the humans barely make out a living. Only uniting under one banner and working together do they become the ultimate might inside of the Kater sector. (The location of where my mod is happening.) The X.E.S (Xenomorph.Extermination.Squadron) is the most technologically advanced force within the sector, and will continue to be until it expands to the Kiflin sector. THATS when and where hell is raised. 3) Every model in the game will be custom built 3D by me. Unfortunately, this will end in a very large workload for one such as myself. Thankfully, I will not set a deadline, and will instead just try and work towards the large goal. 4) Custom sounds and soundtracks are planned, but are not implemented or thought of yet. 5) The basis of the game is between the technologically advanced X.E.S (Terran.), the bio-mechanical Terbinara (Zerg.), and the god-like Neophytes (Protoss.). The differences in the races will be severe, with the X.E.S holding the middle ground. The Terbinara will constantly be using hundreds of guys, apsolutely swamping you with units. The Neophytes will be a complete opposite, as roughly five units will completely decimate your base. 6) The game will be centered around technology advancement. The X.E.S gain access to there most powerful vehicles and mechs in the late game, while the Neophytes have the advantage of everything being totally free. With that, the only resource they truly need is time. The longer a Neophyte player lives, the higher his upgrade count will grow, eventually capping at a massive ten upgrades. The Terbinara will gain access to stronger units in the late game, but must focus on destroying there opponents quickly with there massive amounts of cheap units. Expect huge battles between each of these three powers. 7) The X.E.S focus on bigger is better. Each machine that you get will get progressively larger and stronger, ending with your main base transforming into a massive mech that will annihilate entire legions of foes. The Terbinara are bio-mechanical creatures. In that way, they are like living creatures, except they are completely metal. They also run on programs written and given to them by the Eclipse AI, a sentient machine. The Neophytes are literal demigods, each of them being masters over energy. They look similar to the Rook from Demigod. They can exist in one of two states. One of them is a combat state, which offers them a extremely strong melee attack, and shields. The second one is a support state, which gives them a ranged attack at the cost of damage and protection. 8) Assistance is always welcome, but the most needed thing I am wanting is voices and ideas for units. I have roughly thirty units planned out, but I have plenty of room for more, so if you have an idea, shoot it out. Just remember the general theme of each race. 9) Unfortunately, due to my computers death and to my annoyance at maps at the moment, I am putting anything other then this forum and the mod on the backburner. Unfortunate, but this has to be done for the greater good. (Besides, if StarCraft 2's editor is awesome, then I won't need to mapmake anymore, now would I? )Many of these ideas are various things thought of by myself, and NONE of it will be stolen, ripped, photoshopped, beaten, hanged, clubbed with a seal, burned, or otherwise taken from any other game. This will be a custom mod, made by those who are willing to dedicate time to it. Updates are in order, and a weekly update sounds just right. Obviously, after all these words, you wonna see some bang for your buck, so heres a few snapshots of one of my models. The Lancer Battle Tank.

Sorry about the double post, but I have important news.
The Lancer Battle Tank is completely modelled. From the turret down to the treads. Heres some pics of it, and a rendered Kerkythea image. |

Unfortunately, theres a problem with that. I have yet to reinstall StarCraft, since I no longer have the CD here. I will have it installed by monday though, so I will be able to show some in-game screenshots. I will have also done the Firegraft editing for it by then, so the Lancer tank should be done by roughly tuesday at the latest.

Well, a bit late on the update, but an update none-the-less.
Unfortunately, a problem occured over the weekend, and I am without StarCraft for yet another week. Currently in progress with the Shadow Wolf mech, and the Lancer tank is completely done. Heres the full render and some pics of the Shadow Wolf. Also, some descriptions : Quote
