So what is this thread about?
Well, I ordered a new computer which I'll hopefully have working by the release, I will play D3 on max settings EVERYTHING, and I will play the game the very second it becomes availible.
What I'm curious about is if there are any Diablo fanatics out there that want to do the same. Basically the idea is to form a group of 3-4 people the moment the game becomes availible, and blast through the content. Yes, during the first playthrough listening to the dialog is fine, this is what I want as well. However, I DOUBT it's necessary to explore every nook and cranny in ACT 1 normal mode. The very nature of diablo is that you will find better gear very soon anyway, and the minor experience boost is very minimal when you compare it to the level you'll be in the later acts anyway. (see: The same level, or +-1 level)

I'm looking for chill people who want to have fun while still playing it seriously, and who can joke around and down bosses. I'm looking especially at people like Neo, grog etc over here. While the following text im about to post will sound extremely harsh, I'm not belittling anyone, pointing out any names or anything. I'm a relatively competitive guy, and I just don't want to do the job of 3 people alone.

Let's look at some requirements which I'd like to ensure a FAST yet FUN playthrough for everyone in the group, notice that FUN means having some sense in your shit:

1. If you don't know the basics of 'not standing in fire', then I don't want to play with you. If you don't have common sense of DODGING boss abilities, I probably don't want to play with you. Making mistakes is fine, but like 90% of WoW raid community for example was simply incapable of decent dps, decent aggro, decent healing, or even decent LEARNING CURVE. It isn't rocket science to get near an object when your ally counter reaches 9, and getting out when yours hit 9, and repeating this process while doing DPS. It isn't rocket science to knowing what you're saving your cooldowns for. If you run into a group of monsters and then notice you dont have any mana to do anything, I dont want to play with you. (read: Be capable of following what's going around you, and with you. if attacking monsters and observing your cooldowns/mana bar is too hard, then admit it)
2. please have a microphone availible, I know at least one good ventrilo server we can use to have chill time and communicate better than typing.
3. Try to book a decent amount of your time for release. If you need to leave in 2 hours, then while your company is desired for that two hours, someone else might take priority?
4. Don't be an idiot. Need before greed, and fairness too. I believe they already implemented some kind of an item distribution system, but even if they didn't we should have the common sense of knowing and judging an item and who it should go to.
5. Let's at least try to have 4 different classes, since it helps item distribution too, and lets everyone get familiar with their class
6. I hope that you have at the very least beat diablo 2 in hell difficulty, and not only because your friend boosted you to hell and you did cows/baalruns. That being said, if you played it on normal and first two acts of nightmare, you probably don't have the very basics of diablo franchise down to the point where you'd be good for this run.
7. Being talkative and being able to take jokes is important. Nobody is necessarily bashing you if they call you out on making a silly mistake and dying.


Can't think of anything else of too great of importance here.

Basically post here to show your interest, and lets try to get as many full groups going as we can, while taking skill and personal chemistries to account. Personally I'd like to play with a little bit more of a 'hardcore gamer' type. Not as in shouting and screaming at your face for making one mistake or losing a roll on an item, but gamers who take the games serious to the point where they can FOCUS and don't have to wait full 5 minutes while your good friend noober 'sorts out his inventory' or spends time 'changing the colors of his armor' which he is going to swap out with the next drop anyway. If your gaming experience suffers from these restrictions, then that's totally cool and I respect that. This is NOT a lash on casual gamers, or people unfamiliar with the franchise. This is a call out for people with similar interest who want to maximize THEIR gaming experience the moment the game comes out!
